A Little About Sebastian

Sebastian, Florida is a historic fishing village located directly on the Indian River Lagoon on the Treasure Coast. The beauty of the river there has hardly changed since Teddy Roosevelt established Pelican Island as the first National Wildlife Refuge in 1903. The refuge is located directly across the water from Pelican's Landing Resort along with several other spoil Islands. Over 100 years later pelicans, dolphins, manatees, exotic birds and other indigenous wildlife continue to thrive on the Indian River.

The Sebastian Inlet allows access to the Atlantic Ocean from the Indian River for deep sea fishing and other sport.

Sebastian offers a variety of river view restaurants, live music venues, galleries, parks, marina, public boat ramps, water sports, and shopping. All are within walking distance or a short bike ride away from the resort.

Medical facilities, banks, churches, golf, and shopping are all within minutes of the resort. Vero Beach and Melbourne are within a half-hour drive and offer additional activities including theater, concerts, museums, art galleries, and beautiful ocean beaches.

Visit the Sebastian Chamber of Commerce web site to see all this special area has to offer.
